bracket for the horn rectifier on all PX models from approx. 1984 onwards without battery.
The bracket made of galvanized steel is screwed under the left side cover to the bracket frame for the spare wheel.

Background knowledge: Since 1982 the AC horns used up to that time (so-called buzzers whose pitch varies with the speed of the engine) are no longer permitted. The PX vehicles from 1982-1984 have therefore a battery in Germany which supplies the horn, the indicators and the brake light. With the introduction of the PX Lusso models in 1984 the battery was abandoned (except for the Elestart models) and a horn rectifier was used instead. This rectifier converts the alternating current on board into a direct current, which is absolutely necessary for the horn. Buffer capacitors are integrated which can buffer the high necessary current.
