EXTRA FLAT DESIGN (31x62.1x5.8/3.5mm)
The clutch-side oil seal in its normal height (4.3mm) is slightly too high for many engine housings (e.g. Malossi).
Depending on the tolerances and any bearing spacing, a conventional height oil seal can rest on the bearing inner ring.
Experienced mechanics have so far solved this problem by grinding off the oil seal.
The BGM oil seal is a simple and practical solution.
With the reduced height (3.5mm instead of 4.3mm), they offer 100% sufficient distance to the bearing in every engine.
They are therefore compatible and usable for every engine concept.
WHY FKM/VITON®
The material FKM (fluorocarbon rubber) is extremely resistant to heat, friction and fuel/ethanol.
Current premium fuel in Germany already contains up to 5% ethanol admixture per se. In other countries, the ethanol/alcohol content is even higher.
Conventional oil seals can swell or soften on contact with fuels containing ethanol. In contrast, BGM PRO FKM/Viton® oil seals offer perfect protection.
In addition, Viton is twice as temperature-resistant as conventional (blue) NBR oil seals, has very good gas impermeability and is also highly resistant to ageing.
WHAT IT IS SUITABLE FOR
An engine fitted with BGM PRO FKM/Viton® oil seals can therefore also be operated with E10 fuel (10% alcohol content) without any problems.
The high-quality brown Viton®* sealing material is permanently resistant to alcohol and is also suitable for engines with high temperature loads and high engine speeds.
BGM PRO FKM/Viton® oil seals are therefore suitable for all engines, whether original or tuned high-performance engines.
ADVANTAGES of BGM PRO
The BGM PRO oil seals offer an additional feature of double sealing. All oil seals that seal to the atmosphere have a so-called dust lip. This is positioned in front of the actual sealing lip and keeps out dust, dirt and moisture. This further increases the excellent stability.

The BGM PRO FKM/Viton® oil seals are available individually as well as in sets for almost all Vespa and Lambretta engines.
