Product Description
The PETEC Flexible Silicone Sealing Instant Gasket in black is a versatile, one-component, permanently elastic polysiloxane-based silicone designed for applications exposed to high temperatures. This product serves as an excellent alternative to traditional solid gaskets, providing effective sealing for various materials including metals (aluminum, cast iron, and steel), plastics, glass, ceramics, and wood. It is ideal for use in oil pans, valve covers, water and oil pumps, spur gear covers, differential seals, battery boxes, headlights, tail lights, protective housings, thermostat housings, transmission oil pans, transmission housings, timing covers, and drive axle covers.
This silicone sealant is suitable for universal applications such as engine and body construction, heating and plant engineering, as well as air conditioning technology. It remains permanently elastic and dimensionally stable, effectively bridging sealing gaps of varying sizes.
Key features include resistance to water, salt water, oil, grease, cleaning agents, hydrocarbons, diluted acids, and alkalis, making it compatible with numerous chemicals. The product is lightfast, UV-resistant, climate-resistant, and solvent-free.
