HELICOIL® plus Gewindeeinsätze sind aus austenitischem Chrom-Nickel-Stahl (Zugfestigkeit von mind. 1400 N/mm2) gefertigt. Das gewalzte Muttergewinde besitzt eine hohe Oberflächengüte. Dies gewährleistet ein hochbelastbares, verschleißfestes Gewinde mit extrem niedrigem und konstantem Gewindereibmoment. Bei Wiederholverschraubungen wird somit bei gleichem Anziehdrehmoment eine höhere und gleichbleibende Vorspannkraft erzielt. Dies führt gleichzeitig zu einer besseren Ausnutzung der Streckgrenze hochfester Schrauben. Deutlich reduziert ist dabei die Torsionsspannung: Im Vergleich zu geschnittenen Gewinden liegt die Oberflächenrauheit bei HELICOIL® plus bis zu 90 Prozent niedriger.
