The Solar DUO can charge and maintain the following battery types:
- STD : 12 V wet cell/rechargeable lead acid batteries.
- AGM : Sealed 12 V lead acid battery, the acid is completely enclosed in the battery.
- GEL : Sealed 12 V GEL lead acid battery, the acid is completely enclosed in the battery.
- LFP : Sealed 12.8 V/13.2 V lithium iron phosphate battery. Lithium batteries do not contain acid.

Notes on each battery type:
- STD : If the battery is turned on its side, acid may leak.
- AGM : A 12 V AGM battery has a higher voltage than STD lead-acid batteries when charged.
- GEL : A GEL battery has a similar voltage to AGM when charged.
- LFP : Lithium batteries do not contain acid. An LFP battery has a higher voltage than AGM/GEL when charged.

Important: Solar DUO is ONLY suitable for lithium iron phosphate batteries with 4 cells connected in series. DO NOT attempt to CHARGE other types of lithium batteries!

CHARGE
- Saves deeply discharged batteries while still at 1 volt with the unique pulse function.
- Fastest charging - as the intelligent charging function selects pulse or continuous charging depending on the intensity of the sunlight.
- Intelligent charging - charging process continues the next day if a battery has held the charge overnight, otherwise the program automatically switches back to the OPTIMIZE step.
- LED No. 1 lights up when the solar panel can deliver charge.
- LED No. 1 flashes when charging current is supplied to the battery.
- The speed of the flashing corresponds to the current delivered, i.e.. fast means high current, slow means low current (cloudy or the battery does not take high current).
- LEDs 2, 3, 4 or 5 indicate the charging progress, while the CHARGE LED No. 1 flashes. If no battery is connected, only LED no. 1 lights up.
- When the battery is sufficiently charged, LED No. 4 or 5 lights up immediately together with LED No. 1 (flashing).
- If the battery needs further charging, LED No. 2 or LED No. 3 will light together with LED No. 1 (flashing).

MONITOR
- When the solar panel stops providing power (the sun has gone down in the evening or it is cloudy), the Solar DUO controller will switch to BATTERY MONITOR mode and will now display the battery charge level every 3 seconds.
- LEDs 2, 3, 4 or 5 indicate the battery charge level.
- Draws less than 0.5 mA in monitoring mode. Switches automatically to CHARGE when the sun intensity is sufficient.

MOUNTING
- The charge controller is separate from the panel and can be placed close to the vehicle or battery, making it easy to track charging and maintenance progress.
- The solar panel must be mounted and oriented so that sunlight can enter directly.
- The range/distance between the battery and the panel is up to 315 cm/124 inches.
- Use extension cables O-03, O-13 or O-23 for extension and connect it to the solar panel and the charge controller.
