Loctite® 248 is a medium strength threadlocker designed specifically for hard-to-reach bonding applications. Whether you're working overhead, under machinery, or in confined spaces, Loctite 248 provides reliable adhesion for parts that cannot be repositioned.
Applications
This thread adhesive is ideal for all metal threads, particularly in equipment that requires disassembly. Common uses include securing components in machine tools, presses, pumps, compressors, mounting bolts, and gearboxes.
Loctite 248 effectively secures bolts, nuts, and studs against loosening caused by vibration, while also providing sealing capabilities. It is suitable for threads up to M36 and can be easily dismantled with standard tools.
Key applications involve securing flywheel bolts, ring gear bolts, crankshaft nuts, and bolts for various covers. It is also effective for sealing oil drain and carburetor screws.
