Getter ist ein chemisch reaktives Material, das dazu dient, ein Vakuum möglichst lange zu erhalten. Dieses verlängert die Lebensdauer der Glühlampe.
Die bräunliche Färbung verschwindet, sobald die Glühlampe in Betrieb ist.
